Our Story
Mobile Rail Solutions provides customized locomotive servicing to Class 1 Railroad companies. We offer our customers the ability to reduce locomotive dwell time and increase overall train speed to railroad through effective and timely remote locomotive servicing. We offer the option of having our trucks and personnel deliver locomotive service products such as traction sand, engine lubrication oil and engine water, locomotive toilet servicing and locomotive cleaning in the yards, eliminating the cumbersome practice of returning a locomotive to an engine service area for these routine services, making locomotives more readily available when and where they are needed.
Throughout the history of the railroad industry, locomotive services required a non-revenue trip to service facilities and the loss of equipment for routine maintenance. In the mid-1990's, our founder began developing a more effective solution, collaborating in the design of a revolutionary service truck to deliver direct-to-locomotive fueling and services. These service trucks became operational in November 1996 and were quickly adopted by most Class 1 railroads in the Chicago area. In 2005, our founder expanded this innovative service approach by incorporating Mobile Rail Solutions, bringing a proven history of successful, quality remote locomotive services to Chicago. Our founders long-established reputation of trust, excellence, and integrity in the railroad industry is the foundation of Mobile Rail Solutions.
Our goal is to become the leading locomotive servicing provider in the Chicago area and throughout the Continental United States by offering a set of customized services that better meet our customers' distinctive needs, and delivering those services via a superior workforce developed through careful hiring practices, continuous training and development, and knowledgeable, experienced management.
